FARGO – Big Brothers Big Sisters of The Village Family Service Center received a $5,000 grant from the Alex Stern Family Foundation.
Over the years, Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) has mentored more than 6,500 young people in Fargo-Moorhead. With this grant funding, BBBS can continue to provide quality mentoring matches to at-risk youth in the community.
The Alex Stern Family Foundation supports the arts, social welfare/human services, education, youth recreation, civic projects, and health issues for the benefit of the greater Fargo-Moorhead area. Since 1977, the Foundation has invested over $15 million in nonprofit organizations in Cass and Clay counties. The Village is a nonprofit organization based in Fargo and has offices in 15 communities across North Dakota and Minnesota. Its programs and services include counseling, addiction treatment, in-home family therapy, mentoring, adoption services, pregnancy counseling, truancy intervention, financial counseling, employee assistance programs, and business training.
