Big Brothers Big Sisters of The Village receives grant from Alex Stern Family Foundation

FARGO – Big Brothers Big Sisters of The Village Family Service Center received a $5,000 grant from the Alex Stern Family Foundation.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of The Village logoOver the years, Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) has mentored more than 6,500 young people in Fargo-Moorhead. With this grant funding, BBBS can continue to provide quality mentoring matches to at-risk youth in the community.

The Alex Stern Family Foundation supports the arts, social welfare/human services, education, youth recreation, civic projects, and health issues for the benefit of the greater Fargo-Moorhead area. Since 1977, the Foundation has invested over $15 million in nonprofit organizations in Cass and Clay counties. The Village is a nonprofit organization based in Fargo and has offices in 15 communities across North Dakota and Minnesota. Its programs and services include counseling, addiction treatment, in-home family therapy, mentoring, adoption services, pregnancy counseling, truancy intervention, financial counseling, employee assistance programs, and business training.
