During this 10-week group, teens who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex, asexual and pansexual can meet other youth and learn about identity, relationships, and more. Specific topics to be addressed include developing positive identity, challenging homophobia, overcoming adversity, suicide and coping, religion, healthy relationships and body image.
The group is facilitated by counselors who specialize in LGBTQ+ issues. The Village hosted the first Pride Teens group earlier this year. Demand for the group was high enough to schedule a second session.
