I live for the “ah ha” moments where my clients understand themselves and each other better, maybe for the first time, or the first in a long time. The enjoyment of being able to assist clients in strengthening themselves and their relationships is very rewarding. I counsel couples, adults, and teens. One of my specialties is in working with adolescent girls. I deal with a variety of topics: depression, anxiety, workplace stress, grief, self-esteem, marital, infertility, and trauma.

My clinical work includes extensive experience in employee assistance counseling and brief Solution Focused Therapy. I gravitate towards Cognitive Behavioral and Humanistic therapies with certification in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) as well as Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM). The majority of client relationships are individual and couple related, however I am experienced in offering trainings, group therapy, and doing crisis work in the community.

I have certification and experience in web-based counseling, which is an excellent alternative to traditional outpatient therapy for those who would like the convenience and comfort of therapy in their home/at work, in rural hard to reach areas, or for those who travel often for work.
