FARGO – The Michael Kaspari Memorial Run for Recovery will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, at Lindenwood Park in Fargo. Registration is now open for the 5K run/walk and 1K family fun run/walk.
The Run for Recovery is held during National Recovery Month and raises awareness about addiction treatment. It honors Michael Kaspari, who co-founded First Step Recovery in Fargo in 2000. He died in April 2017 following a fall in his home.
First Step Recovery, now a program of The Village Family Service Center, provides all levels of outpatient addiction treatment for adults, as well as programming for family members. Funds raised by participants support First Step’s Family Program.
Race registration is $10 and $25; rates increase Aug. 17. To sign up or make a donation, visit TheVillageFamily.org/Run4Recovery.
