FARGO – Big Brothers Big Sisters, a program of The Village Family Service Center, is seeking participants for its annual Bowl for Kids’ Sake fundraising event, to be held at 3:30 and 9:30 p.m. March 2 and 9 at West Acres Bowl, 3402 Interstate Blvd., Fargo.
Bowl for Kids’ Sake is a fun, easy way for coworkers, friends and families to support the life-changing work of Big Brothers Big Sisters. Teams collect pledges and sign up to bowl during one of four event times. Each team member is asked to raise a minimum of $125. Participants receive a free T-shirt, pizza and pop, and prizes are awarded.

Big Brothers Big Sisters matches at-risk youth with caring, adult mentors in the Fargo-Moorhead community. These relationships are proven to improve the child’s self-confidence, academic performance, and peer and family relationships. Volunteers can take part in school- or community-based matches, and professional staff ensure the relationships are safe and rewarding for everyone involved.
The Village is based in Fargo and has offices in 15 communities across North Dakota and Minnesota. In addition to Big Brothers Big Sisters, its programs and services include counseling, addiction treatment, in-home family therapy, adoption services, pregnancy counseling, truancy intervention, financial counseling and employee assistance programs.
The Village’s mission is to strengthen individuals we serve through community behavioral health services. We are accredited by the Council on Accreditation and are a United Way Community Partner.
