MINOT – The Village Family Service Center in Minot received a $2,000 grant from the Minot Community Endowment Fund. The money will allow The Village to make some necessary upgrades to the office space to better serve individuals, children, and families throughout the region.
The Minot Community Endowment Fund was established by a grant from the Otto Bremer Foundation in 1981 as a way for local residents to give back to the Minot community to support nonprofit projects and programs.
The fund is managed locally by a group of volunteers who make up the Advisory Committee and recommend grants from the fund annually.
The Village is based in Fargo and has offices in 15 communities across North Dakota and Minnesota. Its programs and services include counseling, addiction treatment, in-home family therapy, mentoring, adoption services, pregnancy counseling, truancy intervention, financial counseling, employee assistance programs, and business training.
The Village’s mission is to improve the quality of life through services designed to strengthen individuals, families, and organizations. We are accredited by the Council on Accreditation and are a United Way Community Partner.
